Job quote
For handymen, landscapers, movers, painters and repair technicians quoting a single small job at a fixed price. Instead of long line items, it breaks the price into a few buckets, spells out what is and is not included, and asks the customer to sign to book the work.

Job quote: questions people ask
What happens if the job turns out bigger than quoted?
Stop and agree on the extra work in writing before doing it. A short change order works well.
Should I take a deposit?
For jobs with special-order materials, many trades collect a deposit at signing. Record it with the deposit receipt.
Is a fixed-price quote the same as a contract?
A signed quote with a clear scope and price is often treated as an agreement. For larger work use a full service agreement. This is not legal advice.
How is this different from the estimate template?
This quote commits to a fixed price for a small, defined job. The estimate shows an expected price that may vary within a stated range.
