Choosing the right certificates template

Certificates mark something that happened or something that is owed: a course or training finished, a gift purchased for someone else, or proof of insurance that a client needs before you start work. Trainers, small shops, salons and contractors use them often, and each one needs a few precise details such as the recipient, the date, a unique number and an authorized signature.

PDFBetter certificates are original fillable PDFs with clean, printable layouts. The gift certificate includes a number, value and expiry date for your records, the completion certificate has hours and instructor fields, and the insurance request is a letter that asks an agent to issue a certificate on the official industry form rather than imitating one.

Certificate templates: questions people ask

Can I print certificates on card stock?

Yes. Download the filled PDF and print at 100% scale. The layouts use standard US Letter pages.

Do gift certificates have to expire?

Federal law in the US generally requires gift certificates sold to consumers to be valid for at least five years, and some states ban expiry dates entirely. Check your state's rules; this is not legal advice.

Is the certificate of insurance request an insurance certificate?

No. It is a letter asking a vendor's insurance agent to issue a certificate of insurance. Only the insurer or its agent can issue the certificate itself.

Can I fill many certificates at once?

Yes. Use Fill PDF from Excel with a list of recipients and the tool produces one certificate per row.
