We build the PDF editor we wanted to use

Most people open a PDF tool to finish one document. Too often they do the work and then meet a paywall, a trial they didn't ask for, or a result that quietly isn't what it looked like. PDFBetter is our answer to that.

What we believe

  • You should know the deal before you start. Every tool page says what's free, what needs an account and what needs a plan — and the app enforces exactly what the pricing page says.
  • Tools should be honest about their limits. Each page lists what the tool doesn't do. Whiteout isn't redaction, an overlay isn't a fillable field, and a conversion can't always keep a layout.
  • Local when possible. If a job can run on your device, it does, and your file never leaves it.
  • AI should show its work. Answers cite pages, quotes are checked against the document, and edits are proposals you approve.

What PDFBetter covers

Editing, filling, form building, e-signatures, conversion, OCR, compression, redaction, sharing and AI — every tool has its own page that opens straight into that task. We also publish original templates, open official forms directly from the issuing agency, and keep comparisons dated and sourced.
