Volunteer hours log: questions people ask
Will my school accept this log?
Many schools accept a signed log from the organization. Some require their own form, so check with the counselor or program coordinator first.
Can I use this for court-ordered community service?
Courts and probation offices often have their own forms and approved agencies. Ask your probation officer or the court whether this log is acceptable.
Can the supervisor sign electronically?
Yes. Send the completed log with Request signatures. The signed PDF includes a certificate of completion with timestamps.
Do volunteer hours count for tax purposes?
The value of volunteer time is not tax-deductible in the US, though some out-of-pocket expenses can be. This is not tax advice.
