What it does
Print PDF, explained
Print PDF prepares a print-ready file from your edited document, with typed text, checkmarks, signatures and field values drawn in, and opens your browser's print dialog.
Use it when a form must be submitted on paper, when you sign on screen but the other side needs a hard copy, or when you want to print a filled form onto pre-printed stationery. Comments can be left out so internal notes don't end up on paper.
In the print dialog you choose the printer, page range, number of copies, paper size and scaling. For forms, pick actual size (no scaling) so boxes line up with official layouts; “fit to page” shrinks slightly to avoid clipping on printers with wide margins. The print file is the same render as a download, so it uses the same allowance as Export PDF.

Good to know before you start
- Paper handling, duplex and margins depend on your browser and printer; some printers can't print to the edge of the page.
- Printing at “fit to page” scales the content, which can misalign entries on official forms that expect actual size.
- Printing produces a full render, so it uses the same allowance as an edited-document download.
If something goes wrong
If something goes wrong
- Edges are cut off
- Your printer can't print to the edge. Choose “fit to page” or a slightly smaller scale; for forms, check that boxes still line up.
- Entries don't line up on my pre-printed form
- Print at actual size with no scaling and match the paper size. Use a test sheet on plain paper first and hold it over the form.
Print PDF: questions people ask
Will my signature print?
Yes. Signatures, initials and field values are drawn into the print file exactly where they appear on screen.
Can I print without the comments?
Yes. Turn comments off before printing; they stay in your document but don't appear on paper.
Can I print only some pages?
Yes. Enter a page range in your browser's print dialog.
Can I print on my phone?
Yes. The print file opens in your phone's print or share sheet, where you can choose a printer or save it.
What's the difference between Print and Export?
Both produce the same rendered file. Export downloads it; Print hands it to your browser's print dialog.
