Meeting agenda: questions people ask
How far in advance should I send the agenda?
At least one business day for team meetings and longer for board meetings, where bylaws may set a notice period.
What if the total minutes exceed the meeting length?
Cut or defer topics. An agenda that does not fit guarantees the last items get rushed.
Should every item have a presenter?
Yes. A named owner makes sure someone has prepared and keeps the discussion on track.
How does this relate to the minutes?
Use the same topics in order in the meeting minutes so the record mirrors the agenda.
