Contractor timesheet
For independent contractors and agencies whose clients approve hours before an invoice is paid. It ties every line to a project or task code from the client's contract, calculates the billable amount, and ends with the client's approval so the invoice that follows is not questioned.

Contractor timesheet: questions people ask
Is a contractor timesheet the same as an employee timesheet?
No. Contractors are not on payroll and do not earn overtime under wage laws. This sheet records billable time for an invoice. Misclassifying employees as contractors carries penalties; this is not legal advice.
Why use task codes?
Clients often budget by project or cost center. Codes let their finance team allocate your time without asking you.
Should non-billable time be included?
Only if your contract asks you to report it. Otherwise list billable time only.
Can I bill different rates?
Yes. The rate is per line, so travel time, onsite work and remote work can carry different rates.
