Tutoring Agreement: questions people ask
Can a tutor guarantee results?
This template does not, on purpose. Tutors can commit to effort and preparation, but grades depend on many factors.
Does a tutoring agreement need to be notarized?
No. Both parties' signatures, including electronic signatures, are normally sufficient.
Do tutors need background checks?
Not usually by law for private tutors, but many families and platforms expect one, and some states require them in certain programs.
Are prepaid packages refundable?
This template refunds unused prepaid sessions when the agreement ends. Change it if your policy differs, and check state consumer rules for prepaid services.
